From our President:
January 12, 2023
To Association Members and the Chelan Community,
Ours is an Association of individuals with the goal of providing aid and comfort to the public, not only in the event of personal emergencies, but in the event of instances where members of the community find themselves facing circumstances that have placed them in a position of the need for financial or other assistance.
We are a community of people who are unselfish with our personal time, innovative in our ability to look out for the best interests of those less fortunate, less interested in the need for public praise versus just being personally satisfied with the knowledge that we have provided the best public service possible to someone who may have suffered the worst day of their life.
It is with pride that I provide this information to our Association Membership and have the ability to post it for public review.
Respectfully Submitted,
Ron W. Simmons
President, Chelan District 7 Firefighters Association
What we do
We offer financial support to people who are victims of emergencies, at times when they need it the most. We have a special committee devoted to emergency assistance.
We help finance the purchase of emergency equipment to support the mission of the fire department. Examples are: engines for the rescue boat; emergency airlift bags for safer extrication of victims in rollover accidents; electronic equipment such as radar, sonar and global positioning for the rescue boat; AED’s (automatic external defibrillators) for use in cardiac arrests.
We support local charities, such as Chelan Valley Hope, Chelan Food Bank, and Thrive Chelan Valley, which mentors local disadvantaged youth.
We provide financial support in times of regional disasters, such as the Oso Landslide in 2014, Carleton Complex Fires in 2014, the Chelan Complex Fires in 2015, and the Okanogan Wildfires of 2020.

We financially supported the Spirit of America Memorial in Cashmere, honoring the first responders who gave their lives during the terrorist attack of 2001.
We donate each year to our local firefighter participants in the Firefighter Stair Climb in Seattle, supporting the National Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
We also donate to the Washington State Council of Firefighters Burn Foundation.
We are proud to be members of Chelan District 7 Firefighters Association!
